“My mom is, and always will be, the biggest inspiration in my life. She has sacrificed so much in order for my siblings and I to have a better future, especially when making the decision to move to the US in search of better opportunities. Seeing the way she has overcome many obstacles and how she lives her days unselfishly devoted to those she loves, makes me realize the type of woman I want to become. My mom has taught me the importance of dreams, trust, hard work and love.
My sister is my partner in crime, my role model and my best friend for life. Her guidance and tough love has gotten me through many situations, strengthening our bond. I have learned how to deal with negativity, the value of forgiveness and what it means to be a role model because of my sister.”
